Bitumen 20/30 — Hard-Grade Bitumen for Extreme Conditions
Subtitle: High softening point and low penetration deliver strong rutting resistance in hot climates.
Bitumen 20/30 sits one step softer than 10/20 on the penetration scale (20–30 mm/0.1 at 25°C, EN 1426), with a softening point around 55–63°C (EN 1427) that gives it strong resistance to rutting under sustained heat and heavy traffic. Lowering penetration alone would make the binder brittle, so the elevated softening point compensates by keeping the material workable during production and laydown, while still resisting permanent deformation once the pavement is in service. It’s harder than 30/40 and every grade above it in our range, making it the reference point buyers use when a project genuinely needs a hard grade but doesn’t require the extreme stiffness of 10/20. Produced and packaged at our own facility, sourced directly from Source Petrochemical Refinery, SGS/Geo Chem verifiable.
