Bitumen 35/50 — The Bridge to General-Purpose Paving
Where hard-grade stiffness meets genuine road-paving flexibility.
Content: Bitumen 35/50 marks the transition point where the “hard grade” family gives way to general-purpose paving bitumen. Its penetration range (roughly 35–50 mm/0.1) and moderated softening point mean it retains meaningful heat resistance while gaining enough flexibility to serve as a genuine road-paving binder rather than a specialty hard-grade product like 30/45. This makes it a common choice as a base for polymer modification: starting from a stiffer-than-standard binder gives SBS or other polymer additives a higher-performance baseline to build from, compared to modifying 60/70 from scratch. Produced and packaged at our own facility, sourced directly from Source Petrochemical Refinery.
